make
his
upcoming
film
Ponniyin
Selvan,
a
master
piece.
The
director
is
giving
importance
to
minute
details
of
every
aspect
of
the
film.
Now,
he
has
asked
suggestions
for
his
historical
film
from
Kamal
Hassan.
According
to
reports,
the
story
of
Ponniyin
Selvan
demands
a
few
hundred
herds
of
horses.
Mani
Ratnam
has
asked
Kamal
Hassan's
advise
on
it.
It
is
said
that
the
actor
has
suggested
the
director
to
import
the
horses
from
France,
as
he
had
done
the
same
before
for
his
Maruthanayagam.
Sources
also
say
that
Mani
Ratnam-Kamal
Hassan
discussed
about
the
story
and
the
script.
Meanwhile,
the
actor
also
recommended
two
writers
to
help
him
in
the
script
writing.
However,
movie
is
the
screen-adaptation
of
the
Tamil
historical
novel
'Ponniyin
Selvan',
which
was
written
by
Kalki
Krishnamurthy.
The
director
has
already
roped
in
Mahesh
Babu
for
one
of
the
lead
roles
in
the
film.
