support
system
following

head
injury
at
her
residence.

admitted
at
Apollo
Speciality
Hospital
in
Chennai
on
October
25.
The
68-year-old,
who
has
been
recovering
from
a
knee
injury,
was
rushed
to
hospital
after
she
slipped
and
fell
down
at
her
bathroom
last
week.
Hospital
sources
claim
that
Manorama
is
on
ventilator
support
and
her
condition
is
critical.
However,
the
doctors
are
confident
that
the
veteran
actress'
condition
would
improve
after
undergoing
a
surgery
today.
Manorama,
who
is
fondly
called
as
Aachi
by
her
fans,
has
acted
in
over
1500
films
in
her
five
decade
career
in
the
Tamil
film
industry.
In
fact,
she
is
the
Guinness
World
Record
holder
for
acting
in
the
most
number
of
films.
She
was
last
seen
in
the
film
Ponnar
Shankar,
which
was
directed
by
Thiagarajan.
