Nayantara's conversion to Hinduism irks Christian groups

Nayantara, who converted to the Hinduism, has irked Christian groups. Some of the spiritual leaders of the community have raised their voices against her for changing the religion.

Father Inian John of People"s United Front, a Christian organization, said that he is shocked and her decision to convert has deeply pained him. Claiming changeover belief is against Christianity, he fumes that the Bible does not permit a Christian to change his/her religion.

Inian John cursed Nayantara that the pain, which she caused to Ramalatha, would reverse to her. One should not desire for the things, which are meant for others. Moreover, he believes that she has been forcefully converted to marry Prabhu Deva.

Diana Mariam Kurian, who changed her name to Nayantara after entering film industry, converted to the Hinduism from the Christianity last Sunday (August 7). She took the changeover ritual at Arya Samaj Temple in Chennai. Later, the actress claimed that she was happily converted to the Hinduism and it was her own decision to change the religion.
