Silambarasan's
yet
another
remake
flick
is
ready
to
hit
the
screens.
The
actor,
who
did
Vaanam,
a
remake
of
Telugu
movie
Vedam
earlier
this
year,
set
his
eyes
on
Bollywood
movie
Dabangg
and
subsequently
expressed
his
wish
to
star
in
the
Tamil
version.
As
he
desired,
Mohan
Apparao
bagged
the
rights
and
launched
the
movie,
Osthe
in
no
time
with
Gilli
fame
Dharani
helming
the
project.
As
far
as
leading
ladies
of
the
film
are
concerned,
the
makers
of
the
film
approached
Sonakshi
Sinha,
Sonam
Kapoor
and
others.
But
the
B-town
babes
turned
down
the
offers
for
various
reasons.
However,
the
movie
bosses
finalised
Richa
Gangopadhyay
to
play
the
role
of
a
village
belle,
which
was
played
by
Sonakshi
Sinha
in
Dabangg.
Githan
Ramesh,
Richa
Gangopadhyay,
Revathi,
Nassar
and
Sonu
Sood
were
signed
for
other
key
roles.
Osthe
has
a
masala
story,
which
is
fabricated
with
family
drama
and
heroism
to
much
extent.
Silambarasan
has
donned
the
role
of
a
corrupted
cop,
who
helps
the
needy.
While
Nassar
and
Revathi
play
the
characters
of
his
parents,
Ganesh
will
be
seen
in
the
role
of
Richa's
drunkard
father.
The
interesting
part
of
the
cast
is
that
Bollywood
actress
Mallika
Sherawat
has
shaken
her
legs
for
an
item
song
'Kalasala'.
In
the
original,
Mallika
Arora
Khan
popularised
the
item
number,
'Munni
badnaam
hui'.
Coming
to
the
audio,
S
Thaman
has
provided
some
catchy
tunes,
which
has
already
become
hit
among
mass.
'Osthe
Maamey',
'Neduvaali'
and
'Kalasala
Kalasala'
are
the
picks
of
the
album.
In
fact,
the
success
of
the
music
has
added
fuel
to
the
expectations
of
the
audience.
However,
Osthe
is
all
set
to
hit
the
screens
tomorrow.
