Osthi troubles far from over!

By Ramchander

The makers of Osthi seem to have falsely claimed that they have resolved the issue with the Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners Association (TNTOW), as the theatre owners guild have denied buying peace with the movie bosses of the forthcoming Tamil movie.

In a press release, it clarified, “People have sent out a false statement to the media regarding our stand on screening Osthe and other release Mambattiyan. I would like to reiterate that our non-cooperation with the channel and films that have sold their satellite rights to them will continue until the channel settles their dues."

The TNFEA has posed a threat to boycott Osthi if the media partner of the Tamil film, Sun Pictures, failed to clear the dues of its earlier films to the association. It has decided not to release any film that is associated with Sun Pictures. However, a few days ago, Osthi makers claimed that the issue has been resolved and it was releasing on December 8.

Osthi is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster Dabangg, which starred Salman Khan in the lead. In the Tamil version, Simbu, Richa Gangopadhyay, Revathi and others are in the cast.
