The fans of Rajinikanth displayed their love and affection for the superstar in a peculiar way. A total of 1008 fans fulfilled their vow of tonsure, which they had taken during his illness for the actor's speedy recovery, at famous Palani Murugan temple

Tirupur-based Rajinikanth's fans arrived earlier today and tonsured before taking bath in Shanmuga Nadhi. Later, they marched to the sanctum sanctorum with a white dhoti and a shirt. In the temple, they performed special poojas for the long life of the superstar.

Tirupur Murugesh, a member of Rajinikanth fans club, said “Rajini's fans of Tirupur had vowed to tonsure for the superstar's speedy recovery and today we have fulfilled it. We also organised "Annadanam" and served lunch to 3000 people."
