By Ramchander

Rajinikanth's superhit film Baasha will be dubbed in Hindi as Baadsha. The movie, which was released 15 years ago, will hit the screens by June 2011.

Producer Badrakali Vara Prasad Rao, who has bagged the rights, has confirmed that he is releasing Baasha as Baadsha. It may be recalled that the remake rights were sold to a popular Bollywood filmmaker soon after the success of the film. The Hindi version was supposed to star Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role but due to some reasons it was not materialized, says the producer.

Prasad Rao has said that he acquired the remake and dubbing rights before the release of Endhiran – The Robot. It is the right time to release the film, as Rajinikanth has become a popular name with the new age Hindi audience, feels the producer.

The producer has spent a huge amount on the latest version of the film to upgrade its DI correction, colour restoration etc. Baadsha will have a new graphic title card and will have stereo sound. The audio of the films is expected to hit the market by May end.
