Rajinikanth discharged, flies to Singapore

Superstar Rajinikanth, who was admitted at Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre for recurrent respiratory infection and gastrointestinal problems, was discharged yesterday evening. The actor along with his wife and two daughters flew to Singapore for further treatment and relaxation.

Hospital bulletin said , "He is cheerful, taking his food himself, spending time with family. He has scheduled his trip abroad for a change and relaxation and incidentally to go in for selective checkups."

In her press note, Latha Rajinikanth wrote, “We will be traveling along with the Superstar to Singapore for treatment and rejuvenation. Please don"t believe in any unreal rumours." She also thanked the supestars" fans and well-wishers for their prayers for Rajini"s speedy recovery.

It may be recalled that the actor was moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) last week and put on dialysis, as his kidneys were not functioning normally. Later, he was shifted again to the normal ward after he responded well to the treatment.
