Rajinikanth's Endhiran walks away with 3 awards at IIFA

India's biggest ever sci-fi film Endhiran has continued its award winning streak, as it has bagged three more awards to its kitty. The movie has been honoured at the recently held 12th International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) in Best Special Effects, Best Art Direction and Best Make-up categories.

Srinivas Mohan (Best Special Effects), Sabu Cyril (Best Art Direction) and Banu (Best Make-up) won the IIFA Awards for Endhiran. Bollywood movie Dabangg, which featured Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha, was honoured with 10 awards for various departments and Shahrukh Khan starrer My Name is Khan bagged five honours at the mega-event.

Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer film was released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi on October 01, 2010. Endhiran, produced by Sun TV's Kalanidhi Maran, was made with the budget of 120 crores. The makers of the film are reportedly planning for its sequel.
