Rajinikanth's
Rana,
which
is
regularly
hitting
the
headlines
for
one
or
other
reasons,
will
kick-start
after
the
general
assembly
elections.
The
makers
of
the
film
have
confirmed
the
news
that
the
movie
will
start
by
the
end
of
April.
Soundarya
Rajinikanth
and
KS
Ravikumar,
who
called
the
press
meet
yesterday,
have
cleared
speculations
pertaining
to
the
movie
and
its
star
cast.
Speaking
at
the
occasion,
the
director
has
said
that
they
have
not
approached
Rekha
nor
Hema
Malini,
as
he
is
fine
tuning
the
script.
As
of
now,
they
have
only
zeroed
in
Deepika
Padukone.
But
he
agreed
that
they
were
in
talks
with
Vidya
Balan
for
one
of
the
lead
roles.
Soundarya
Rajinikanth
said
that
the
story
is
written
by
Rajinikanth.
She
said
that
it
a
historical
movie,
which
is
set
in
the
17th
century.However,
makers
of
the
film
have
already
roped
in
AR
Rahman
to
score
the
music.
Rathnavelu
will
handle
the
camera
and
the
budget
of
the
movie
Rs.
100
crores.
