Rajniknath's Rana gets bigger with Vidya Balan's entry

Rajinikanth's Rana is getting bigger with every new entry into the cast. After Deepika Padukone and Rekha, the movie has got a new addition in the form of Vidya Balan to play one of the female leads in the film.

In a bid to reach out to a pan-indian audience, the makers of the film have opted Bollywood actresses to to star opposite Rajinikanth in the film. The superstar is playing the triple role in the film and Vidya Balan will pair middle-aged Rajini in Rana. Deepika Padukone and Rekha will co-star younger and older Rajinikanth in the historical movie.

The movie will mark Vidya Balan debut in Tamil film industry. However, KS Ravi Kumar-Rajinikanth, who have given two blockbusters Muthu and Padaiyappa, are working together again after long gap The superstar's daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth is jointly producing the movie with Eros International. Oscar award winner AR Rahman will score the music and Ratnavelu will handle the camera.
