Rajinikanth returns

Fans of Rajinikanth burst crackers, screamed with joy and cheered with new enthusiasm, as Rajinikanth arrived Chennai last night. The superstar was accompanied by his wife Latha Rajinikanth, daughters Aishwarya Dhanush and other family members.

Sources say that the city cops kept the news of Rajinikanth's arrival under secrecy till 9.40 PM last evening for security reasons. It is only after that it was revealed that the superstar was coming home. The Endhiran star landed at the airport around 10.45 and walked out through the VIP exit.

Touched by the fans affection, Rajnikanth wished them with hands folded in reverence. Clad in blue jeans and a white shirt, Rajnikanth was spotted with rimmed black spectacles.

The superstar fell ill on April 29 and was taken to the St Isabel Hospital in Chennai. He was discharged on the same day. But in less than a week, Rajinikanth was hospitalized again due to uneasiness in breathing.

Later, Rajinikanth underwent treatment at Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre for recurrent respiratory infection and gastrointestinal problems and was put on dialysis, as his kidneys were not functioning normally.

However, after being treated in Chennai, he left to Singapore for further treatment at the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre and was discharged on June 14. But he decided to stay back for a month for relaxation. Click here to see his arrival pictures.
