Rajinikanth to visit Tsunami hit Japan

Superstar Rajinikanth has said that he would like visit Japan to show his solidarity. The deeply disturbed actor announced it at a condolence meeting held yesterday mourning the tragedy in Japan

Speaking at the occasion, Rajinikanth said that Japanese are known for their fightback attitude but how many times they can do that? I sincerely pray the almighty god that give them enough strength to recover from this disaster and he is confident that the country would emerge stronger than before.

Talking about the stories, which he heard from his friends about the natural disaster, he said, "I heard about people who were waiting at a mall to pay their bills. When it shook they ran out. But the same people returned after it was over, stood in line and paid their bills. And a ticket collector on a train who told the passengers - it may be a calamity but it is my duty to check your tickets."

The meeting was organized by business magnet Veeramani, which was attended by lyricist Vairamuthu, actor Shiva Kumar, producer Ramkumar, danseuese Padma Subramaniam and others.

It is well-known fact that Rajinikanth has a large-fan base in Japan. His movies are being dubbed in Japanese language since 1995. Muthu was his first film, which was released in the island nation as The Dancing Maharaja. Since then, all his movies are being dubbed and released in Japan.
