Richa to pair Simbu in Dabangg remake

Richa Gangopadhyay, who made her debut with Telugu superhit movie Leader, will enter Kollywood with Silambarasan's next film. If reports are to be believed, she has been signed for the Tamil version of Dabangg.

The makers of the film, who were keen to cast a Bollywood face opposite Silambarasan, approached quite a few B-town actresses like Sonam Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, etc., before roping in Richa Gangopadhyay.

Richa, who was waiting for the right script to make her Tamil entry, gave the nod to act without any hesitation, claims a source close to the production house. The actress will be portraying the role of Rajo, which was played by Sonakshi Sinha in the original.

Dharani of Vijay's Ghilli fame is directing the film. The untitled movie will be reportedly launched today at the AVM Studios. Mohan Apparao and T Ramesh are producing the film.
