Actress
Sangeetha
and
her
husband
Krish,
who
is
also
well-known
singer,
are
getting
threats
from
a
section
of
people
and
Tamil
groups.
Their
plan
of
participating
in
a
New
Year
bash
organised
by
Karuna,
an
agent
of
Sri
Lankan
government,
has
put
them
under
pressure
to
withdraw
their
involvement
from
the
event,
which
is
held
in
Switzerland.
The
actress
has
expressed
her
anguish
by
claiming
that
the
artists
should
not
be
dragged
into
political
issues
and
their
main
aim
is
to
perform
and
entertain
the
people.
It
is
unfair
to
mix
politics
and
entertainment.
Sangeetha
further
adds
that
they
have
been
receiving
threats
from
various
corners
and
getting
abused
online
too.
The
Pithamagan
girl
does
not
want
to
bow
down
to
those
parties
and
people,
who
try
to
dictate
the
terms
to
the
artists.
Sangeetha
clarifies
that
the
show
is
not
sponsored
by
the
Sri
Lankan
government
and
she
has
proofs
for
it.
On
his
turn,
Krish
claimed
that
he
walked
out
of
a
function
earlier
when
he
came
to
know
that
it
was
funded
by
Sri
Lankan
government.
He
ends
on
the
note
that
he
is
a
Tamilian
and
the
singer
will
never
do
things,
which
would
hurt
the
Tamils
sentiment.
