SA Chandrasekhar's Sattappadi Kuttram audio was released yesterday at Kamala Theatres, Chennai. The audio launch function became a stage for a heated political debate. With general elections is around the corner, Vijay's supporters are leaving no stone unturned to criticise the ruling government.

Speaking at the occasion, Chidambaram of Kamala Theatre, said that Vijay should stay away from politics. He recalled that he had suggested the same to Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji, who entered politics in late 80s. He added that the actor should concentrate on films and leave politics to his father SA Chandrasekhar.

Reacting to his statement, Sathyaraj, Seeman, Selvamani and producer KT Kunjumon opined that Vijay should enter politics to clean the system. They urged that the actor of Vijay's calibre should take a plunge into the politics. They also slammed the ruling party over corruption charges.

VC Guhanathan, Shankar, Jeeva, Perarasu, Kalaipuli S Thanu, Ramanarayanan, Vijay's mother Shobha Chandrasekhar, wife Sangeetha and other dignitaries attended the function. Actor Vijay could not make it to the event, as he is busy filming Velayudham in Vizag.
