Actress Shobhana found dead

Small time actress Shobhana was found dead in Kotturpuram, Chennai on Monday (January 10) after hanging herself from a ceiling fan. Her health issues might be the reason behind the suicide, says preliminary reports.

According to reports, the actress was alone at her house, when she surrendered to death. Her mother Vairam Rani, who left home to buy medicines, was shocked when she returned home as her daughter did not responded to doorbell rings. Later, with her neighbours help, she broke the door and found her daughter hanging from the the ceiling.

The 31-year-old acted in over 100 films and several television soaps. Her 10 movies are still awaited for release, including Karthi's Siruthai and Namitha's Ilaignan. She appeared opposite actor Vadivelu in a few movies and was also seen in popular comedy show Meendum Meendum Sirippu.
