Shruti Hassan voices for Mallika Sherawat

While Mallika Sherawat will shake her legs for the Tamil version of 'Munni badnaam hui...', Shruti Hassan will lend her voice for the actress. Yes, the daughter of Kamal Hassan is reportedly singing the item number in upcoming Tamil film Osthi.

Reports say that Shruti Hassan has been approached for the special number and the actress has sealed the deal without a second thought. It is said that the makers of the film were keen on a different voice and felt that the 7 Aum Arivu actress could fit the bill.

Music director Thaman is using the tune of his recent Telugu movie Mirapakaay for the item number. He is planning to start the composition work in coming days, says a report. It may be recalled that the original song was sung by Mika Singh, Mamta Sharma and Aishwarya Nigam.

Mallika Sherawat, who is all set to become the highest ever paid actress for an item song in the Tamil film history, is reportedly getting Rs 1.25 crore for the special song in Osthi, which is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster Dabangg.
