Simbu approaches Nayantara for item number in Osthi

Silamabarasan recently claimed that he wants his upcoming movie Osthi to be as big as its original version. It seems like he is trying hard to keep his words, as he is in search of a top actress to do an item number in the movie. If reports are to be believed, he has approached his alleged ex-girlfriend Nayantara for the same.

The Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa star, who is actively involved in the casting, reportedly told director Dharani that Nayantara would fit the bill for the item song, which was done by Mallika Arora in Dabangg. Having made their mind on the special number, the actor and the director offered the special number for the 26-year-old. But little less they know that the actress is not keen on doing such songs anymore, as she is planning to settle down in marriage with Prabhu Deva.

Simbu-Dharani, who were ready to pay whatever Nayantara quotes for the song, were disappointed, as she told them straight away that the actress would not like to shake her legs for the item song. The actress explained them that she wants to end her career on a high note and she is happy to bid goodbye with mythological film Sri Rama Rajyam in Telugu.
