Simbu fails to keep his promise, Osthi release postponed

By Ramchander

Silambarasan had announced earlier that the audio of Osthi would be a Vijayadashmi treat for his fans and the movie would light the screens for Diwali. However, he has failed to keep his promises, as both the music and the movie releases have been delayed.

Sources say that the delay is caused due to his inability to tone his body on time. The actor, who hit the gym a few months ago to display a six-packed abs just like Salman Khan in Dabangg, could not able to shape his body. So, Silambarasan has now started spending more time sweating out in the gym and following a strict diet regime to beef up his body.

The Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa star, who does not want to compromise, wants to display chiseled body for the climax scene, where Simbu has to take off his shirt. So, the climax sequence has not been shot. It is said that the scene will be shot by the last week of this month or early next month, add a source.

Hence, the audience can expect Osthi to release in November mid-week. However, the audio of the film will hit the stands on October 19 and the promotions of the audio release have been started.

Silambarasan, Richa Gangopadhyay and Sonu Sood starrer Osthi is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster Dabangg. The forthcoming Tamil movie is directed by Dharani and it also features Githan Ramesh, Revathi, Santhanam and others in the cast.
