Simbu hits back at Bharath

By Ramchander

Silambarasan has slammed Bharath, who indirectly pointed his finger at the former for getting less weightage for his role in Vaanam. The Vinnaithandi Varuvaya star claims that he was not responsible for limiting the Boys actor's character in the recently released film.

Simbu says that he is not a producer to call the shots. He adds that the actor requested editor Anthony to not chop the scenes of other stars, including Bharath. In fact, a few scenes involving Silambarasan and Santhanam were deleted from the final copy.

He further claims that the makers of the film know the market and based on it, they sell their product. For an instance, Mangaatha is a multi-starrer film but the movie is being promoted like an Ajith Kumar's film. Likewise, Nanban has ensemble cast but the movie bosses promote it like a Vijay's product. The star value in the material is what the filmmakers consider while promoting the film, Simbu concludes.
