Sonakshi Sinha's weight gain cost her Vishwaroobham?

Sonakshi Sinha's surprising exit from Kamal Hassan's upcoming film Vishwaroobham has paved way for a new speculation. Grapevine is abuzz with the news that it was not Sonakshi Sinha, who opted out of the Tamil film, indeed, the makers of the film, who dumped her due to her increasing weight.

Vishwaroobham bosses signed her after watching her performance in her debut Bollywood film Dabangg. They felt that her lean and good physique would help her role in Vishwaroobham, as her character would have to encounter some action sequences in the film.

The makers of the film told her to reduce her weight within a few months and suggested her to undergo some physical training. But she could not attend due to her busy schedule and she gained a few more kilos in the meantime, which forced the production house to drop her from the film.

Meanwhile, sources say that Deepika Padukone is in the race to play the female lead in Vishwaroobham. The makers of the film have approached her recently and she is yet to approve the project.
