Sony bags Simbu's Osthi audio rights

By Ramchander

Continuing its acquisition, Sony Music has bagged yet another biggie. The audio company has acquired the audio rights of forthcoming movie Osthi and is organising a grand music launch function tomorrow (October 6).

Sources say that Sony Music has bought the rights for a good price considering the success rate of Simbu's earlier films. As usual, the price paid for the rights have not been revealed but industry insiders predict that the music might have been sold some where between Rs 65 to 75 lakhs.

The audio of Osthi will be launched tomorrow evening. The function will be attended by the cast and crew of the movie and close friends of Simbu.

It may be recalled that Sony Music has recently acquired some of the much-hyped movies like Velayudham and 7aam Arivu.
