Trouble-hit
Swami
Nithyananda
has
lodged
a
complaint
against
the
Sun
Pictures
with
City
Police
Commissioner.
He
has
alleged
that
Kalanidhi
Maran-owned
company
manufactured
a
fake
video,
which
had
resemblance
with
him,
and
made
false
allegations
against
him.
Swami
Nithyananda
later
addressed
the
media
and
said
that
the
Sun
Network
threatened
him
to
pay
Rs.
100
crore
to
stop
the
airing
of
the
controversial
video.
However,
they
managed
to
get
Rs
60
crore,
yet
the
channel
continued
to
air
the
clipping.
When
he
was
asked
as
to
why
he
paid
that
amount,
Swami
replied,
“When
a
crorepati
like
Aircel
Sivasankaran
can
be
armtwisted
into
paying
up,
what
option
did
a
sanyasi
like
me
have."
His
complaint
comes
a
day
actress
Ranjitha
filed
a
complaint
against
Sun
Network
and
a
few
Tamil
dailies.
She
alleged
that
the
television
channel
aired
a
morphed
video
clip,
which
claimed
that
it
was
her
in
the
sleazy
video
with
Swami
Nithyananda.
It
may
be
recalled
that
Sun
TV
and
its
sister
channels
aired
the
controversial
video
on
March
10,
2010.
