Surya in high demand

Surya is the most talked about South Indian actor these days. He is in high demand, as many filmmakers are keen to cast him in their films. Currently, he is busy shooting Udhayanidhi Stalin produced movie Ezhaam Arivu, which is directed by AR Murugadoss. He is busy shooting some key scenes with Shruti Hassan in Thailand. The film is set to release during this summer and is going to be one of his biggest releases of the year.

After this project, Surya will start KV Anand"s Maatraan, which is being produced by Kalpathi S Agoram. The actor is also said to be starring in 3 Idiots remake, which is produced by producer Manohar Prasad. The sources close to the development inform that the Tamil version of 3 Idiots will start shooting in Ooty on January 25. The actor will join the unit in the first week of March following the completion of 7am Arivu. For now, the team will capture the scenes involving Illeana, Omi Vaidya, Sathyaraj, Srikanth and Jeeva.

Speaking about his next project with Surya, KV Ananad said that they are uniting again after Ayan with Maatraan. He added that the film will be a complete entertainer with proper mix of commercial elements.

A source close to Shankar was quoted saying that he is now giving final touch to the script at a resort near Chennai. After completing the scenes in Ooty, the unit will move to Dehradun. As per the trade analysts, the investment on three films is expected around 150 to 175 crore. Thus making him the hottest property of Tamil film industry!
