Surya's Maatran kick-starts after Karthi's marriage

Surya, who has been busy with Karthi's marriage preparations of late, has completed the shooting of his upcoming film 7 Aum Arivu. He is all set to start his next project Maatraan after his brother's wedding.

Sources say that Surya will kick-start his next film Maatraan in the second week of July. After Karthi's marriage, the actor wants a short-break before starting the film, as he has been restless for a year now. It is because his three projects Singam, Rakta Charitra and 7 Aum Arivu, which made him to work without breaks, add sources.

Meanwhile, KV Anand has completed the pre-production work and has returned from Nigeria with Harris Jayaraj after churning out some tunes for the film. Maatraan also features Kajal Aggarwal, Prakash Raj, Vivek and others in the cast. It is produced by Kalpathi S. Aghoram.
