Surya's Nandha goes to Telugu

Considering Surya's popularity in Andhra Pradesh, the makers of 2001 release Nandha, have decided to dub the film in Telugu. The news comes as a surprise to many, as it is a decade old product.

Nagamalla Shankar of Sri Siva Shankara Art Productions has acquired the dubbing rights of Nandha. The Telugu version of the film has been titled as Bala-Surya.

The dubbing process of Bala-Surya has already been started and Yuvan Shankar Raja's songs are ready, which will hit the markets in July. The movie is expected to release by July second week.

The original version, Nandha was directed by Bala. The movie, which featured Surya and Laila in the leads, is about a young man's life after serving his childhood in jail for killing his father.
