TNTOA hits back at Producers Council

The Tamil Nadu Theater Owners Association (TNTOA) has urged the Govt of Tamil Nadu to restruct the existing ticket rate of cinema theaters all over the state. In a statement, the association President Ramu Annamalai and Secretary Panneer Selvam clarified that the ushering price system during the release of biggies are the main issue, which project theater owners as looters. But, according to them, producers and distributors are the main reasons for this unhealthy situation.

Earlier, the Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council suggested that public should file complaint at local police stations, if theaters collect heavy price. Reacting to this, TNTOA said, “The producers and distributors only compelling us to fix heavy price. If the such complaints are necessary, they also should be included in the complaint."

They also requested the govt to fix ticket structure from this year and help the exhibitors to build a smooth relationship between Theater owners and viewers.
