Trisha to star in Band Baaja Baaraat remake

Trisha Krishnan seems to have become the first choice for the remake films. Well, the actress has been offered to star in yet another film, which is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster Band Baaja Baaraat.

Grapevine is abuzz with the news that Trisha Krishnan will be enacting the role of Shruti Kakkar, which was played by Anushka Sharma in Band Baaja Baaraat. It is said that UTV Motion Pictures have acquired the regional rights of the film and they have offered the female lead role in the film.

Trisha Krishnan has signed quite a few remake films in the recent past. Her Telugu movie Teen Maar, which is a remake of the Bollywood movie Love Aaj Kal, is releasing tomorrow and she has given the nod to act in the Telugu version of Malayalam superhit movie Bodyguard. It was also rumoured that the actress has been approached for the remake of Bollywood movie Fashion.
