Vijay to be paid Rs 5 crore for a telecom commercial?

Actor Vijay is the latest to join the bandwagon of Kollywood stars to do a commercial for a well-known national telecom company. The actor, apparently will be paid Rs 5 crore for the advertisement.

While most Kollywood stars keep away from doing commercials, one exception is advertising for telecom companies.

Actor Surya has been a brand ambassador for a local company for years and advertises for them. His brother Karthi joined suit by doing a commercial for another telecom company.

However, Vijay who is very choosy about the kind of commercial that he wants to do has apparently agreed to do the advertisement for a whooping Rs 5 crore. Vijay is expected to shoot for the advertisement for three days.

While Velayudham starring Vijay, Genelia D"Souza and Hansika Motwani is all ready to hit the screens, Vijay has almost finished shooting for director Shankar"s Nanban. Nanban is a remake of the superhit Bollywood film 3 idiots which had Aamir Khan in the lead role.
