Vijay's Kaavalan to be screened at Shanghai fest

After winning the hearts of the audience and giving a much needed break to Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Kaavalan is all set to go to the Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF). The movie will be screened at the 14th SIFF, which will take off on June 11.

Kaavalan is selected in the Panorama category from 2500 odd movies from various countries. The movie will be competing with 200 other films from various languages for the prestigious Golden Goblet Best Film Award, which is instituted by Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture, Radio, Film & TV and Shanghai Media & Entertainment Group. Actor Vijay has been invited for the festival.

The Shanghai International Film Festival is China"s only A-category international film festival, which begun in the year 1993. It is is one of the biggest film festivals in Asia.
