Vijay's Velayudham shoots at Goundamani’s family abode

Vijay has almost wrapped up the shooting of upcoming Tamil film Velayudham. With the completion of the filming of the talkie portion, an interesting news has been revealed by the makers of the film that some of the key scenes of the film have been shot in veteran comedian Goundamni's ancestral home.

Velayudham, which has village backdrop in the first half of the film, has been shot around Valla Kundapuram near Pollachi. Sources say that some of the scenes including Saranya Mohan"s wedding have been filmed at Goundamani"s family abode. The comedian's mother still lives in the house.

Meanwhile, a few songs of Velayudham are still pending to be filmed. Soon, the film unit will travel abroad to can the songs at the exotic locales. The movie, which is directed by Jayam Ravi, features Vijay, Genelia D'Souza and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles.
