Vijay's Velayudham gets Hollywood touch

Tamil movies are no longer restricted to Tamil Nadu nor Tamil audience. The movies made here are being closely watched by many film industries, including Bollywood. As a result, the makers of the film are giving importance to every aspect of the film making. Be it story or technical department, they have started following Hollywood standards. Now, Vijay's Velayudham is getting Hollywood touch to the film.

Director Jayam Ravi has roped in Hollywood stunt director Tom Delmar for Velayudham. The latter, who has worked for many English movies like Brave Heart, Wake of Death etc., will be choreographing an action sequence in Vijay starrer film. It is said that it would be a high-octane action scene between Vijay and gangsters.

Tom Delmar had earlier worked in Bollywood movie Drona, which starred Abhishek Bachchan Priyanka Chopra in the leads. He was the stunt coordinator of the film. However, Velayudham will mark his debut in South Indian film.

Meanwhile, the shooting of Velayudham is at brisk progress in Vizag. Soon, they will wrap up the on going schedule. The movie features Vijay, Genelia D'Souza and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles. The movie is produced by Aascar Ravichandran and it will release on July 22, 2011.
