Vijayalakshmi becomes Veerappan's wife!

Vijayalakshmi of Chennai 600028 fame has been roped in to play the role of slain forest brigand Veerappan"s wife. Indeed, she will be seen as Muthulakshmi in the upcoming Tamil film Vana Yudham.

The makers of the film, who considered many actresses, including Priyamani for the female lead role, have finalized Vijayalakshmi for the biopic of bandit Veerappan, which will be played by Kishore. The movie also stars Arjun Sarja as a cop named Vijaya Kumar, an Indian IPS officer, who was the Chief of the Special Task Force that was behind the encounter of the notorious bandit.

The film will be shot in dense jungles of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Vana Yudham will be simultaneously made in Tamil and in Kannada as Attahaasa. The shooting of the film has been started in Mettur.

The movie is directed by AMR Ramesh and it has Vijay Milton's cinematography, editing by Anthony and actions by Dileep Subbarayan.
