Vikram gets honorary doctorate

Chiyaan Vikram has added one more feather to his cap, as he is conferred with an honorary doctorate from the Universita Popolare Degli Studi Di Milano on May 29. The university which is popularly known as People"s University of Milan, bestowed upon him the honour for his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema.

He received the honorary certificate from Prof. Dr. Marco Grapecia, President of the University. In fact, he is the first Indian actor to be honoured with a D.Lit from the University of Milan. The Vice President of West Africa and Member of Planning Commission of China were also present at the occasion.

The actor will return to India in a few days, as the promotions of his upcoming Tamil movie Deiva Thirumagal have already been kick-started. The movie is expected to hit the screens on June 17.
