Yuvan Shankar Raja marries Shilpa

Musician Yuvan Shankar Raja, the son of music maestro Ilaiyaraaja, married Shilpa, a B.Pharm graduate, on Thursday morning in Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh. They wedded in a simple way and it was limited to their family and friends.

Yuvan Shankar Raja and Shilpa tied the knot at 10.20 AM on September 1. The marriage was performed according to the Hindi rituals. The bride wore a red colour traditional saree while the groom sported a white silk dhoti and shirt.

It was attended by cousins Venkat Prabhu and Premji, uncle Gangai Amaran, Vishnuvardhan with wife Anu, actors Subbu Panchu, Vaibhav, Mirchi Shiva and others.

It may be recalled, the musician was earlier married to singer Sujaya Chandran. After seeing for a couple of years, they entered wedlock in 2005. But their wedding did not last long because it ended with divorce in 2007.
