Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's comeback movie has been in the news for a while now. First, there were reports that the actress could return with superstar Rajinikanth's magnum opus Kochadaiyaan by doing a cameo. Later, there were several other speculations on her comeback movie. Now, the latest buzz was that the actress, who had worked with Mani Ratnam in quite a few movies, will be donning grease paint in Mani's fim. But the director's wife Suhasini has denied the reports.

The latest reports said that Mani Ratnam had approached Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for the screen-adaptation of English author Daphne Du Maurier's 'Rebecca'. It was also said that the actress would be enacting the role of Mrs de Winter in the first movie after the birth of Aishwarya's baby Aaradhya. However, Suhasini has denied it and said that the rumours are not true. According to her, the director is completely busy with his next movie Kadal starring Gautham Karthik and Thulasi.

It would take another eight months for Mani Ratnam to complete Kadal and it is only after the completion of this project, Mani Ratnam would plan his next movie, claims Suhasini. It may be recalled that Aishwarya was introduced to films by Mani Ratnam in the Tamil movie, Iruvar. Since then, they have worked in movies like Guru in the year 2007 and Raavanan in 2010.
