Director
Chakri
Toleti's
latest
Tamil
movie
Billa
2
starring
Ajith
Kumar,
Parvathy
Omanakuttan,
Bruna
Abdullah
and
Vidyut
Jamwal
in
leads,
is
an
action
thriller
and
it
is
a
prequel
to
Ajith's
blockbuster
film
Billa.
But
this
film
has
received
average
reviews
from
the
film
critics.
Ajith's
performance,
dare-davil
stunts
and
music
are
its
highlights,
while
thin
predictable
story,
week
narration
and
bad
editing
are
its
drawbacks.
The
movie
has
been
rated
an
average
of
2.8
out
of
5.

Review:
The
biggest
strength
of
Billa
2
is
undoubtedly
its
hero.
He
does
his
part
of
looking
good
whenever
he's
allowed
to,
wields
his
gun
in
style
and
delivers
the
dialogues
in
his
signature
style.
The
film
in
general
lacks
pace
and
drama.
The
experimental
style
editing
hampers
the
narrative
than
improve
it.
Though
the
film's
not
longer
than
a
quarter
and
two
hours
Billa's
story
until
his
transition
takes
its
own
sweet
time
to
unveil
itself.

Upadhyay's
Review:
The
movie
is
all
about
Ajith's
heroism
-
though
as
a
baddie.
It
is
out
and
out
Ajith
film.
On
the
flip
side,
the
story
lags
on-the-edge
elements.
There
are
parts
where
the
story
is
predictable
and
it
could
have
been
made
interesting
by
bringing
in
some
thrill
to
the
story.

Review:
Billa
2
is
stylishly
shot,
and
Ajith
carries
the
film
on
his
shoulders,
but
that's
all
there
is
to
it.
When
it
comes
to
screenplay,
logical
plots
and
characterisation,
it
fails
to
meet
expectations.

Review:
Billa
2
is
not
everyone's
dose
of
entertainment
dreg.
Either
get
a
heady
kick
on
high
octane
and
adrenaline
action,
or
pursue
a
more
modest
and
mellow
avenue.
Times
of
India's
Review:
Billa
2
has
a
wafer-thin
storyline.
But
Chakri
Toleti
has
intentionally
kept
the
pace
swift
enough,
leaving
no
time
for
the
viewer
to
notice
loose
ends.
Billa
2
is
strictly
for
Ajith
fans
who
want
their
favourite
star
to
be
seen
as
an
invincible
person
on
the
screen
always.
But
one
would
have
preferred
to
see
Ajith
as
brain
than
brawny
hero.
IndiaGlitz's
Review:
For
hardcore
Ajith
fans,
'Billa
2'
is
a
delight
for
they
can
see
their
favourite
star
as
an
invincible,
unbeatable
and
stylish
don.
He
sets
off
a
new
style
trend
with
his
looks
and
costumes.
More
a
serious
role
with
no
tinge
of
humor,
it
is
indeed
a
complex
character
ably
handled
by
Ajith.
He
has
very
little
to
speak
in
the
movie
and
lets
his
gun
do
all
the
talking.
NDTV's
Review:
Ajith
has
performed
action
scenes
with
ease
and
has
given
an
impressive
performance.
Sudhanshu
Pandey,
too,
is
perfect
in
the
role
of
Abbasi.
Screenplay
and
narration
also
fails
to
impress.
Billa
2
can
be
watched
for
its
action
sequences,
decent
music
and
interesting
locations.
