Ajith Kumar's Billa 2 overseas rights sold for a record price

The popularity of Billa franchise and the star power of Ajith Kumar have worked big time again. The abroad theatrical rights of the forthcoming movie Billa 2 have been sold for an unbelievable price of $1 million (approx. Rs 5 cr).

If reports are to be believed, GK Media, which distributed many movies in the recent past like Mankatha, Velayudham, Ko, Aadukalam, etc., has acquired the overseas rights of Billa 2. With this development, Ajith Kumar is the latest entry to the list of stars, whose movies have been sold for a million dollar.

Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan, Vijay and Surya are the other members in the list. However, it may be recalled that Ajith Kumar's Mankatha was sold for Rs 3 cr plus.

Billa 2 is directed by Chakri Toleti and it is produced by Suresh Balajee. It also features Mumbai-based model Huma Qureshi, Bruna Abdullah, Prabhu, Rahman, Krishnakumar and others in the cast.
