Anushka Shetty to do a Vidya Balan in Kahaani remake

Anushka Shetty, who won a lot of accolades for her performance in Arundhati, has reportedly bagged a woman-centric film. Well, the actress has given green signal for the remake of one of the biggest Hindi movies of the year, Kahaani.

Grapevine is abuzz with the news that after considering a few names like Sneha, Nayantara and others, the makers of the film zeroed in on Anushka Shetty who reportedly had no second thoughts to act in the remake.

The movie will be simultaneously made in Tamil and Telugu. Endemol India, which has produced several Hindi TV reality shows, is entering films by producing the Kahaani remake. The shooting of the film begins in September and it will hit the screens in January 2013.

Interestingly, Vidya Balan is doing a cameo in the movie, which revolves around a pregnant NRI woman's relentless search for her missing husband.
