By Ramchander

Mani Ratnam's next movie Pookadai just got bigger with the inclusion of Arvind Swamy to its cast. Well, the ace director has reportedly signed the actor, who worked with him in superhit movies like Roja and Bombay.

If reports are to be believed, Arvind Swamy, who refused Vishal's offer to play the role of a baddie in Samaran, has given the nod to play a key character in Pookadai. It is said that when Mani Ratnam offered him the film, he just cannot say no, as the filmmaker is his mentor.

Arvind Swamy is reportedly playing the role of a father to either Samantha or Karthik in Pookadai. The other actors in the cast are Arjun Sarja and Lakshmi Manchu. In the technical front, Mani Ratnam's trusted men AR Rahman and Ravi K Chandran are handing the music and cinematography department.
