Band Baaja Baraat to be remade in South

Bollywood blockbuster Band Baaja Baraat will be remade in South languages. The makers of the original film are reportedly keen to remake it in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

Reports say that following the footsteps of corporate companies like UTV Motion Pictures, Hindujas, and Eros, Yash Raj Films has decided to venture into the business in South India. Hence, it is planning to start it by remaking Band Baaja Baraat. The spokesperson of the company has admitted that the bosses in YRF are thinking about it but nothing has been finalized.

It is believed that this is the reason why Yash Raj Films has not sold the remake rights of Band Baaja Baraat despite getting a lot of queries about the rights. However, other than this project, the production house is also planning to remake popular movies like Bunty Aur Babli and Dil To Pagal Hai in the regional languages.
