Dhanush's 3 rocks at Box Office on day one

Aishwarya Dhanush's directorial debut 3, which has received mixed reviews from the audience and critics, rocked at the Box Office on day one. The Tamil movie successfully pulled the youths to the theatres thereby making good collections on the release day.

Reports emerging from the industry suggest that 3 ran into packed houses in Chennai and witnessed 90% above occupancy in other parts of the state. An unconfirmed source says that the movie has collected more than Rs. 3 crore on the first day of its release.

However, the occupancy in theatres is expected to come down drastically, as 3 has not got good word-of-mouth. Dhanush and Shruti Hassan starrer film is an intense-romantic drama, which is primarily targeted at urban audience.
