Salman

Ek
Tha
Tiger
has
set
a
new
record
at
Indian
Box
Office.
More
surprisingly,
it
has
done
good
business
at
the
Tamil
Nadu
Box
Office
where
it
has
crossed
the
1-crore
mark
on
Sunday
(August
19).
Ek
Tha
Tiger,
which
raked
in
Rs.
32
lakhs
on
the
opening
day,
dipped
at
the
collection
centres
in
the
next
two
days
to
recover
on
Friday.
But
it
made
wonderful
collections
in
the
weekend.
The
Salman
Khan
starrer
movie
ran
packed
house
in
most
of
the
theatres
in
Chennai
on
Saturday
and
Sunday.
However,
in
other
parts
of
Tamil
Nadu,
it
did
reasonable
business.
The
movie,
which
was
released
on
August
15,
crossed
the
100-crore
mark
in
just
five
days
and
it
has
become
the
fastest
Rs.
100
crore
grosser
movie.
It
is
no
surprise
that
Ek
Tha
Tiger
has
managed
to
collect
only
Rs.
1
crore
(only
1%
of
the
collection
has
been
added
from
Tamil
Nadu
for
the
successful
movie),
as
the
Hindi
movies
are
not
popular
in
the
Tamil-speaking
state.
Traders
have
declared
that
Ek
Tha
Tiger
is
the
first
Bollywood
movie
of
the
year
to
cross
Rs.
1
crore
in
Tamil
Nadu
and
it
is
the
faster
Rs.
1
crore
grosser
Hindi
film
in
Tamil
Nadu
too.
The
total
collection
of
the
movie
stands
at
Rs.
1.09
crore.
However,
the
romantic
action
thriller
has
shattered
all
previous
Box
Office
records
by
raking
in
Rs
127.16
crores
nett
in
just
six
days.
It
is
the
first
film
from
Yash
Raj
banner
to
cross
100
crore
mark.
