Ilaiyaraaja to score music for Gautham Menon's NEP

Music Maestro Ilaiyaraaja is all set to work with ace filmmaker Gautham Menon. Yes, the 68-year-old has been signed to score the music for forthcoming Tamil movie Neethaane En Ponvasantham (NEP).

The music director has confirmed that he has signed Gautham Menon's film. Ilaiyaraaja claims that he will start the composition works soon. It is also noted that they have teamed up for the first time and the expectations have obviously reached sky high from this combo.

It may be recalled that Oscar Award winner AR Rahman was approached for Neethaane En Ponvasantham but he opted out of the film due to his busy schedule. Then it was said that Harris Jayaraj-Gautham Menon, who parted ways after Vaaranam Aayiram following some differences, could bury the hatchet and team up again.

NEP stars Jeeva in the Tamil version, Nani in Telugu, whereas Aditya Roy Kapoor in the Hindi version. Samantha is playing the female lead in all three instalments.
