Ilaiyaraaja's music for Vijay's next!

Ilaiyaraaja's music in Neethaane En Ponvasantham, the audio which was released a few weeks ago, has become a trendsetting album. Now, he seems to be ready to do the magic again for a biggie. Well, the music director, who had given many chartbusters to Vijay, is likely to compose tunes for the actor's next movie.

The buzz is that director Ameer Sultan has requested Ilaiyaraaja to score the music for his next project with Vijay. The filmmaker wants the legendary musician to score the music for the movie, which is reportedly titled as Kannabiran. Recently at a function, he made a request to Ilaiyaraaja to give music for his forthcoming film with Vijay.

Ameer shares a good rapport with Ilaiyaraaja's son and music director Yuvan Shankar Raja. The Raja junior had earlier given some memorable music in Ameer's movies. Now, the director is keen to rope in Ilaiyaraaja for his prestigious project. However, the Music Maestro said that Yuvan is the best person to compose music for Ameer's films, as his subjects are realistic and hard-hitting.

Ilaiyaraaja had earlier composed some of the hit movies of Vijay like Kadhalukku Mariyadhai Kannukkul Nilavu, Friends, etc.
