Jaya
TV
seems
to
be
on
a
roll.
After
bagging
the
satellite
rights
of
Rajinikanth's
magnum
opus
Kochadaiyaan,
now,
it
is
eyeing
Vijay's
forthcoming
movie
Thuppakki
directed
by
AR
Murugadoss.
Grapevine
has
it
that
Jaya
TV
is
trying
hard
to
strike
the
deal
and
is
in
talks
with
the
makers
of
Thuppakki.
Though
nothing
has
been
finalised,
the
channel
has
almost
negotiated
the
price
and
the
deal
is
likely
to
happen
in
the
coming
days.
It
may
be
recalled
that
Jaya
TV
had
acquired
the
TV
rights
of
Vijay's
earlier
film
Velayudham
for
reportedly
Rs.
4
crore.
The
channel
had
also
competed
for
the
rights
of
Shankar
directorial
Nanban,
which
fell
into
the
laps
of
Vijay
TV.
Thuppakki
a
spy-thriller
set
in
the
backdrop
of
Mumbai
and
centred
around
the
life
in
the
streets
of
the
commercial
capital.
The
film
produced
by
Kalaipuli
S
Dhanu
also
features
Kajal
Aggarwal,
Vidyut
Jamal,
Akshara
Gowda
and
others
in
the
cast.
Meanwhile,
the
film
has
landed
in
a
controversy
over
the
title
issue.
