Samantha's exit from Mani Ratnam's Kadal seems to have not affected the film to much extent, as the shooting of the film is in brisk progress. Currently, the team is off to Kerala where it is filming some key portions of the much-awaited movie.

Recently, the Kadal unit has left to Kerala along with the lead stars Gautham Karthik and Tulasi. They are filming at Vembanad Lake, which is believed to be the longest lake in India, near Alapuzha. Some of the important scenes were shot at the beautiful place and it was captured on camera by Rajeev Menon, say reports.

Sharing her excitement, Lakshmi Manchu twitted, "Last leg of shoot with Mani Ratnam. I am living my dream. Never stop dreaming." However, the last schedule of Kadal was shot in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. A song on the lead stars was also shot in the picturesque locals of the islands.

However, the story and lead stars have been kept under wraps. The movie features Arjun Sarja, Arvind Swamy and Lakshmi Manchu in the important roles. Mani Ratnam's trusted men AR Rahman and Rajeev Menon are handling the music and cinematography department, respectively.
