Mani Ratnam's Kadal hitting screens on Feb 1

Mani Ratnam's Kadal is getting ready to entertain the Tamil audience in 2013. The film, which kick-started the shooting in March 2012, will hit the screens on February 1.

If reports are to be believed, Mani Ratnam's Kadal will be released on February 1. As there are many big films including Kamal Hassan's Vishwaroopam releasing in January, the makers of the film have decided to release the forthcoming Tamil film in February. However, the official confirmation is yet to arrive from the movie bosses.

Meanwhile, the audio of the movie, which was released on December 15, has been getting good response for the album from audience. The film has seven songs penned by Vairamuthu, Madan Karky, and Aaryan Dinesh Kanagaratnam. The Mani and Rahman combination has worked well this time too.

However, Kadal marks the debut of Gautham, the son of actor Karthik, and Thulasi, the daughter of actress Radha. The latter was roped in after Samantha walked out of the film citing date issues. The forthcoming movie also features Arjun Sarja, Arvind Swamy and Lakshmi Manchu in important roles.
