Nayantara signed for Mani Ratnam's Kadal?

They say one man's loss is another's gain. This often comes true in film industry. Recently, we read about Samantha walking out of Mani Ratnam's Kadal after bagging Shankar's forthcoming film. Now, we hear that Mani has replaced her with Nayantara, who is in great demand ever since she made her comeback.

Rumour mills have it that Samantha's decision to opt out of Kadal did not affect the film to much extent because her portions were yet to be shot. However, finding a suitable replacement would have been tough if Nayantara would not have given a nod to act in the movie. The Billa girl, who missed out to work with the ace filmmaker in Raavanan, grabbed the offer in both hands, claim reports.

Mani Ratnam's Kadal also features Arjun Sarja, Aravind Swamy, newcomer Karthik and Lakshmi Manchu in the important roles. The movie has AR Rahman's music and Rajeev Menon's cinematography. The movie, as the title suggests, is set in the backdrop of a sea.
